Introduction

The journal FAHM-I-ISLAM (JFII), a referred and internationally indexed journal of the Department of Islamic Studies, Women University, Mardan. It is double- blind peer reviewed open access and a multi-dimensional journal of international outlook in Islamic Sciences.

Its full name denotes a variety of significant characteristics of such like sacred journal "FAHM-I-ISLAM" as given below: 

F- Stands for Felicitous which means:          (Well chosen)

A-Stands for Advantageous which means:   (Fruitful/Beneficial)

H- Stands for Harmonious which means:     (Sweet sounding/uniformed)

M-stands for Marvel which means:               (Pleasingly combined)

I-stands for Imprint which means:                 (Making impression)

I-stands for Invincible which means:             (Un-beat able)

S-stands for secure which means:               (Safe/protected)  

L-stands for Liable which means:                 (Officially responsible)       

A-stands for Admirable which means:          (Praise worthy)

M-stands for Memorable which means:        (Time lasting)

The Journal Fahm-i- Islam was launched in the year 2018 (in January) for the benefit of students, researchers and general public. Fahm-i-Islam is a journal being published biannually by the faculty of Islamic Studies, Women University Mardan Khyberpakhtunkhwa Pakistan with the approval of the competent authority.

Aims & Scope: The aim of the Journal of Fahm-i-Islam is to encourage publishing articles of high profile peculiarly contributing to the gigantic treasure of Islamic Literature as well as academic pursuits. No doubt, JFII is aimed at promoting publication of genuine research works, but case studies and review articles are also invited to be included in the content list. Sound deliberations on different contemporary issues, healthy debates in wide ranging areas of Islamic Sciences are highly appreciated by the Editorial Board of JFII for the benefit of students and research scholars. It, very often happens that contributions of scholars and subject experts of high caliber are preferred for publication only to share knowledge as well as inspire scholars involved in research pursuits. The journal welcomes contributions from all and sundry without any discrimination. Not only research works of local, regional and national as well as international experts are published, but those who are hailing from developing countries are also accommodated. Efforts are always intensified to enhance the quality of research works by passing the same through meticulous plagiarism check, screening process and double blind peer review by national as well as international scholars of high repute. In addition to that the submitted articles are intensively examined by editorial and advisory boards. The JFII manages publication of research papers in the field of Islamic Studies, Islamic History, Seerah and Arabic Language as well as Arabic Literature besides, other Islamic Social Sciences. This journal welcomes contributions from all regions and corners of the globe. It especially, encourages participation from the developing countries in view of their minimum representation in research journals published in the developed countries. Selection of articles for publication is strictly based on merit duly checked as well as reviewed by the advisory board and peer referees through a double blind peer review process. This peer review, as per rules of the HEC has been categorically, made mandatory for the publication process of the research articles. In prospective view of the Women University Mardan, the JFII, which is only one year old (having been launched in January, 2018), it has proved to be a precious addition in the cluster of the on- line and otherwise publications of our beloved country Pakistan.

• The article must be research based and unpublished.
• Burdensome and pun (entendre) words may be avoided to be used by the writers, the style of the article may be intelligible to the common man and simple; in addition to that its words should not be disgraceful.
• The writer should record his short profile (name, position, name of the institute address, email Phone No) on the first page.
• The article must contain its "Abstract" in its half page and the central key words, four to five in English at its end. Also, the abstract should consist of 150 to 200 words.
• For article in Urdu "Noor-i- Nasta'leeq" font, for Arabic articles traditional Arabic font, while for English Version MS Word (Microsoft Word) is essential to be used. Those articles which are In Page or PDF Form is not acceptable for publication.
• For the text of Urdu Article Fonts size is 13, for Quotation 13 and for references 11. Similarly, in English Articles the text font size is 12 and for references it is 10.
• Conclusion of the research or review must be produced in the end of the Article.
• The references should be written in serial order in the end note. In addition to that, for recording references Chicago reference style must be followed.
• It is also important that you carefully proofread your paper, and that it is accompanied by a Turnitin similarity index report in soft form.

To some extent all aspects of the article writings have been explained in the narration, however, it is very much important to clarify something more about the volume of the articles. An article should be in a softcopy on a CD, and two double-spaced hardcopies), but should not exceed 5000 words. So far, the abstract is concerned it should not exceed 250 words.
