Waiver Policy for Authors

Eligibility

The waiver policy is applicable to all authors/scholars who are submitting papers to Fahm-i-Islam.

Waiver Request

Authors who need to request a waiver of the article processing charge (APC) must submit a waiver application form along with their paper submission.

The waiver application form can be found on the Fahm-i-Islam website.

Waiver Criteria

The following criteria will be used to assess the waiver application:

• The author's country of residence
• The author's affiliation
• The author's funding status
• The author's contribution to the paper

Decision

Waiver decisions will be made by the Fahm-i-Islam editorial board on a case-by-case basis.

Appeals

Authors who are denied a waiver may appeal the decision by submitting a letter to the editorial board.

Additional Details

• Waiver applications must be submitted within 30 days of the paper submission deadline.
• The editorial board will make a decision on waiver applications within 30 days of the department deadline.
• Authors who are granted a waiver will not be required to pay the APC.
• Authors who are denied a waiver may appeal the decision by submitting a letter to the editorial board within 15 days of the decision notification.
